5 weeks!

This week:

Mav had all 13 grandparents together Sunday to take pictures.

He is way more alert.

He is starting to smile and interact with people more.

He went to his first craft show.

He went on his first hay ride and slept through the whole thing.

Likes:

Eating

going on walks

Grabbing handfuls of my hair or anything he can get a good grip on

Staring at lights and windows

making silly faces

his car seat

being held

being outside

hanging out in his the bouncy seat 

listening to music

Hanging out in the solly baby wrap and tula 

Dislikes:

naps longer than 10 minutes

Getting his clothes/diaper changed.

having hiccups

4 weeks/ 1 month update!

This week:

We went on lots of walks.

We went to the pumpkin patch.

Mav had his first trip to chipotle.

We visited our friends at Advanced Reproductive Center.

Maverik met Brian and Kristin.

He has been smiling and trying to hold his head up a lot more now.
He grunts at people when he doesn't like what they are doing

He has also slept a few four hour stretches now!
He weighs around 10 lbs.

Likes:

Taking walks

Hanging out in his car seat

trying to hold his head up

reading books being carried in the tula

Dislikes:
being tickled

Hiccups

3 weeks!

This week:

Mav met great great grandma Eden.

We went on our first walk.

 We went to the apple orchard!

We went to the car show and main street market on Saturday.

Daddy had Sunday off so we got to go to church and watch the bears game together!

Likes:

Eating

Staring at lights and windows

hanging out in his mamaroo and the bouncy seat 

listening to music

Hanging out in the solly baby wrap and tula 

Dislikes:

going to bed

2 weeks

This week:

 Mav met more friends and family!

He went to his first wedding reception.

He had his second doctor appointment Friday and weighed 8 lbs. and 3 oz. so he is more than back up to his birth weight!

He slept 3.5 hours straight two nights in a row!

Likes:

Eating...a lot

hanging out in his mamaroo bouncy seat 

pulling hair

listening to music

Hanging out in the solly baby wrap

sleeping during the day and partying between 3 and 5 AM

Dislikes:

Getting his clothes changed.

bath time

sleeping between 3 and 5 AM. 

having hiccups.

Bump progression

1 week old

This past week was a big one!

 Mav met lots of friends and family this week!

He had his first doctor appointment and weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. last Wednesday. 

We went on quite a few outings...probably more than we should have (mom is tired).

Thursday daddy went back to work.

Dislikes:

Bath time

Getting his diaper changed

This week:

You taught me what real physical pain is...but it was so worth it.

You have made my love for your daddy grow even more...he was amazing during my labor and now  as he helps take care of me and you.

You have taught me that i don't really need even close to 8 hours of sleep each night to function the next day.

You are teaching me to be more present...some things are just not as important as I thought they once were.

You have taught me that before you...there was no reason not to be on time places...now days i need to give myself some slack.

You have taught me to love my body and appreciate what the world tells me are "flaws". Its really cool what a woman's body can do from pre-baby to postpartum...not all of it is pretty but it makes you appreciate the body God gave you...especially when that same body was one I disliked some days because it was crooked from scoliosis and"broken" because it wouldn't let me have a baby on my timing...I am learning to love it with all its imperfections. God knows what he is doing.
